I was born and raised in Budapest, where I started to play the guitar at the age of 13 in the Aladár Rácz Music School with Mr. Béla Wittek. In parallel with music school I attended the János Xántus Bilingual High School where I completed two subjects of the final exam (hungarian and international history, civilization of the English-speaking world) in English along with English and Russian language. I have a C1 complex language certificate of English language and an A1 complex of Russian language.
After the finals I attended the University of Miskolc where I got my bachelor degree of classical guitar performing, then I moved to the other part of the Carpathian Basin – Bratislava, Slovakia. Here at the Academy of Performing Arts I got the masters degree as a classical guitar artist and teacher, and in addition I’ve learned the Slovak language there. I took part in lots of masterclasses, national and international competitions, played many concerts both in solo and with various groups (both classical and pop-rock), made scores, composed, arranged and recorded music, wrote three theses, etc. I was quite busy in the last few years…
Currently I’m a full-time guitar teacher at my alma mater, the Aladár Rácz Music School, Budapest. My pupils are mainly children/teenagers from elementary school and high school (7-18 years of age), many of them have successfully performed at various concerts, events, regional and local competitions. My teaching method is largely based upon classical traditions, but I’m constantly seeking for new ways, approaches. This research is 99% contributed by my pupils 🙂
Besides teaching I’m an active performer. Since 2015 my main musical project is Ímpetu (https://impetumusic.com/), which in the last two and a half years gave more than thirty concerts, published two CD’s, made radio broadcasts and did many other interesting things.
